Such excitement!

Wow - it's been a while - a lonnnnnng while - talk about neglecting a blog, huh? oy.

Anyway, I'm here - and I've been busy:

This weekend marks my 1st craft fair at Packanack Lake in Wayne, NJ - I'm so excited and so overwhelemd all at the same time! I've got inventory galore ready and waiting for potential buyers... can't wait interact w/ the other vendors and fairgoers. A few fellow EtsyNJ'ers will be there as well - looking forward to it!

On a more personal note, I am also making plans to form ym own OCD Support Group in the Morris Cty., NJ area, starting in January. My OCD is mild compared to how it affects others, I know, but I am hoping to share information and support with others touched by OCD - either individually, family, friends, etc... if you're in the Morris Cty. area and are interested, please feel free to convo me through my etsy shop: http://jtatmusic.etsy.com Thanks! :D

A lovely early-wintery day here today - snow, rain, slush, and that late fall chill in the air - Just enough to get the blood pumpin' and my butt in gear for all the excitement that's waiting for me. I hope you, too, have lots to look forward to - 'til next time... -J.

BIG Feature on WOR Radio today!

Wow! What a thrill - my boutique was mentioned and described, in detail, on Joan Hamburg's NY radio show this morning! What an honor! Unfortunately, she gave the website address inaccurately, but my phone # was there, so that went out with it - I got 5 calls right away and 2 orders! So exciting to have my "15 minutes". :D

Moving Forward

I just got my 5th b&m confirmation today! I have this latest order to fill, and then my clips will officially be in 5 stores - wow! That will be 3 pet boutiques, 1 antique-y shop, and 1 children's boutique - a lovely variety to display and sell. Lots of fun putting these orders together, too - it's always rewarding to have a specific order to work on (and get paid for!).

Getting Official

Well, I've taken the plunge and filled out forms to register my business. I'm feeling very official. In the midst of all this formality, I've approached some brick n mortars and have gotten a couple orders along the way! A pet boutique in Chester, NJ has ordered clippies twice already! I've also been able to fill a party favor order for a local mom in Hackettstown - that was fun, packaging the clips and getting them favor-ready for her daughter's birthday party. I'm so thrilled to have had these orders to work on - and more to come, fingers crossed. I have appts. set up at a couple other boutiques this coming week - hopefully they'll love my clips as much as others have and place orders... My hubby jokes that we'll have to put the kids to work; and he's still waiting for me to tell him it's okay he can quit his own job - LOL! -I'll have to sell a mighty amount more clips before he can do that! -too funny. In the meantime, it's nice to have his support and to enjoy filling the orders I've received.
